Do I have to have a prescription for physical therapy?

The State of Florida allows for “direct access”, meaning it is not mandatory for a patient to attain a prescription prior to receiving physical therapy. However, most insurance companies require a written and signed referral in order for us to administer treatment and for you to receive proper reimbursement. If you are unsure, please give us a call as we will help to verify the benefits and requirements of your specific insurance plan.
